I'm brand new to the Android game with my Nexus and even I was pleasantly surprised to see the same build number. However, I think Android as a platform will remain fragmented for a while. Just look at the recently announced Galaxy S. It's going to be called something different on all four...

Here's one complaint. After updating, all my songs that had artist and album info, now show "unknown artist" and just have song titles. That's kind of odd.

I'm AT&T in NYC and service at my desk in my office building usually sucks or is non-existent. After doing a manual update to 2.2 my speeds and connection stability have actually increased. Loving 2.2 so far.

thanks for the info, manually updating now... glad I went with the Nexus over the EVO

I don't have to reset my phone or lose any info on it if I do the update manually? I have a stock 2.1 AT&T N1 and am dying to use 2.2.
