Scrolling performance can be quite dramatically improved through rooting and installing one of the well received custom kernels and disabling as much bloatware as you can. It's a damn shame the Note 5 performs so poorly in this department right out of the box, but that how it is. Inexcusable imo.

There will be no difference in audio quality when using PowerAmp. If you prefer the UI than sure, go for it. Only differences (as far as I know) that can be obtained would be by using something like Viper4Android which changes the way your Android device will route audio. But that requires root...

No it doesn't. Not within 3rd party apps or UI elements like the drop down notifications or the multitasking carrousel. It did improve scrolling in widgets.

Can't really say i've seen much improvement. It only just started optimizing apps. Apprently it takes 3 days for it to work out which apps to optimize. Strangely, after the update I'm seeing large battery drain for the "Google app". 6%, which is as much as my screen... Not sure what causes this.

The N9200 apparently has a different modem (duo Sim, Samsung part). Which also makes rooting and unlocking the bootloader completely different to the single SIM ones.

Re: anybody here uses the Note5 completely naked? What he said. I love the design and it looks great, but too damn slippery especially in this humid Hong Kong weather. I put a Dbrand skin on the back which helped somewhat. Can't stand cases.

Better scrolling performance 3rd party apps. Scrolling is poor. Less little lags across the UI.
