Thank you Aron Tripp. Am somebody else's mom that was doing the same thing. Had no clue that the innocent looking icon on the right of the notifications area was actually a toggle switch. Spent 2 hours searching the internet to try and "fix" this problem. Can't thank you enough for sharing...
