Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition (24.11.18)

Second gen (2014) moto X pure edition on AT&T. Haven't gotten my update yet. Pulled SIM card and still nothing. Any suggestions on this? I really wish they would just make an official moto X update tool for the computer. Just plug it in and go.

Cleaning up the Wallpaper on AC

Would it be possible to implement some sort of reporting ability to report wallpapers that are tagged/located in the wrong category? There really shouldn't be cars in say the animals section. I get that the photographer or whoever uploaded it is proud of their work... But it's kind of...

Updating rooted phoenix (froyo) to official gingerbread

Hello, I am dusting off my LG Phoenix for my girlfriend since her blackberry is starting to die. However, the LG Phoenix is running Froyo and rooted. I saw this as a good chance for her to play around on Android so that when her upgrade comes in 4 months, she can upgrade to an android phone...

[Closed] Win an AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G

re: Win an AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G Phil likes the camera, the ability to sideload, and the screen. Overall, it is a well packaged phone that has the features that people would like and serves to bridge the gap between the captivate and the galaxy s II. I hope that if I win this phone, I would...

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed Donated to you Joban :D Haven't had a chance to try all this out. I will do so once I get time to do so. Keep up the great work. Also.... I gave LG a call today. They had to transfer me up a couple tech levels but they...

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed Joban, I have posted up the link on XDA that takes you to the LG Open Source Distribution site. Not sure if this will help with anything. If all else fails, at least the flashable zip is there in case anything does happen...

LG Thrive Root, Customize, and Maximize Local Storage Memory

Deleting all those AT&T apps frees up TONS of space. I don't get why AT&T puts their navigator on when google maps does the same thing better without the additional $10 a month.... Anyways... Rooting the phone also lets you overclock it. I think a safe overclock is 800 MHz up from the stock...

    Thrive GPS

Keep in mind that the GPS in these phones are A-GPS or assisted gps which ping nearby cell towers to help them get a fix on location (or uses wifi to get a more accurate location). I would try the apps listed above. I have not tried out the google maps with just GPS.

    Gingerbread Update

I believe that the LG Phoenix and Thrive will be getting the 2.3 update. This was announced in the At&t press release. I don't think that the update will be something that the lower tier of tech support would really know about since it has not been released yet. As far as custom roms go...

    LG Phoenix...root...wifi...tether...???

I think if you don't tether too much AT&T won't really know. I think that they find out people are tethering due to the huge bandwidth that these user use up. Not really sure though.

    Hey

Just wanted to say hi. New to the forums. My first android phone was a HTC Magic that I rooted and ran Cynogenmod on. That was followed by a Motorola Backflip and now I'm on my LG Phoenix (p505) Hope to learn a lot, wlfpck
