you'd have to be a real dumb dumb to buy an LG phone at launch price. Wait a month and it'll be down about $200. I love my v30 but only because I got it super cheap. I'm eyeing a used pixel 2xl as a backup phone for the camera capabilities.

the only fix is to move to a Google cam port when it becomes available. my v30s pictures look way better using the Google camera. however it's not a miracle worker. I have gotten some pretty great shots out it though.

v40 looks cool but it's priced too high. the v30 is clearly the better buy right now. in a month it'll probably be down to 650 and start to look better but they are nuts thinking people are going to buy this over a Samsung S9 that is priced to move.

I'm hearing the SD 845 isn't as power efficient as the 835 but I'd be surprised if it had worse battery life. I'm guessing it'll be about the same which isn't bad since the v30 has great battery life imo.

I think it's good. I guess put up next to the Samsung displays it's not as good but day to day you won't have any complaints. I've had no burn-in or anything either.
