Same problem here. I eventually tried a hard reset but that didn't work. I lost everything except pics and music cause I moved to sd card first. I don't recommend it.

Re: Screen rotation not working on galaxy s5 Mine just recently started doing the same thing. I searched for a few days and eventually hard reset my phone. Didn't work which means it's the gyro inside that is broken I don't recommend hard resets or you'll lose everything but pictures and music...
