Tried a new 4g SIM and could not do anything with phone (worse). Verizon rep finally wrote a ticket. Still expecting a 5g SIM in mail for perhaps last try. Previous try with 5g SIM might not have been activated before installation in phone.

Did they give you a 5g SIM card or 4g? Also did you activate the SIM before it was installed? They seem to stress that SIM card has to be activated before installation.

Just got a January 2020 patch with retail xt1900-1 (Amazon version).

Be thankful you didn't get 8.1 yet. It reportedly broke USB communication. They are rolling out a fix for that which we should all get soon.

Am I the only one that just gets a generic bland circle in the notifications bar (rather than a custom icon) when using this app? Using lollipop 5.1.

Isn't Google assistant only available with Marshmallow and Nougat? Moto X 2013 stock Is Lollipop unless you unlock bootloader and download marshmallow or Nougat. I personally don't want to lose the always listening feature of stock.
