I also just cleared all data from the browser and forced stop. Didn't fix.- wriotu

I hadn't messed with the flags, but I set grid layout to default and enabled and no change. I've also rest my phone to factory settings for a different reason but it didn't resolve this.- wriotu

Moto z4 phone. Yes. There is a button next to the url bar that shows how many tabs I have open. It used to show tabs or cards with a preview of the page, but now just shows a list. I also posted here with a picture if you want to see what I mean...- wriotu

My Chrome tabs disappeared and now show up as a list of open pages rather than the tabs or cards. I can't find anything in the settings that controls this. How do I get the tabs back?- wriotu

Yep. Tried that. Disabled the app which installed updates. Re-enabled and updated app. Same thing. Really confusing.- wriotu

Can't uninstall the Google app. But I cleared all data and did a force stop and still blank.- wriotu
