We should get ICS on November 28

The Galaxy Nexus was released in the UK on November 17th, 2011. If the schedule is the same as last year, we would be looking at a 2 month wait for the OTA. I believe the Nexus One Gingerbread OTA was delayed a bit because they wanted to release 2.3.3 and not 2.3. I would guess that at best...

We should get ICS on November 28

Are you sure about this? The original GSM Nexus S was released on December 16, 2010. The Nexus One OTA update to Gingerbread (2.3.3) started on February 23, 2011. After that, Sprint's Nexus S 4G didn't become available until May 8, 2011.

GN on Verizon - free hotspot/tethering?

I have a Nexus S 4G on Sprint. The hotspot feature did work out of the box with 2.3.4, but was later disabled by the 2.3.5 update. Google's Nexus S site did note that the hotspot feature may be subject to additional fees by the carrier. It's still a pure Google experience, the carrier just...

Worth leaving Sprint for the G-Nexus ?

I've been with Sprint since 2002, and always been pretty satisfied with their service. I currently use a Nexus S 4G and plan on sticking with the Nexus line of phones. Part of me wants to switch to Verizon for the Galaxy Nexus. However, I would be paying about $10-$30 more per month for...

    T-Mobile version or Verizon exclusive?

Re: May I speculate here for a sec.... I totally agree, I want to see the Galaxy Nexus on Sprint ASAP... but I just don't see it happening any time soon. I'd gladly take a Galaxy Nexus on Sprint that only works on EV-DO until LTE is live. However, I can't recall a device ever being released...

    T-Mobile version or Verizon exclusive?

Re: May I speculate here for a sec.... I've posted this in a few other topics, but here is my speculation: CDMA/LTE Galaxy Nexus will be released as a Verizon exclusive in the US. At the same time, an unlocked GSM/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus will be available worldwide. ATT/Tmobile users will be able...

What, if anything, will make you pass on the Galaxy Nexus?

Re: What's your one deal breaker for this phone? If it is truly a Verizon exclusive, that would kind of kill it for me. After owning the Nexus S 4G, I plan on sticking with the Nexus line of phones. I'm not willing to switch from Sprint at this point though. Not that it would be ideal, but...

    Recount!

My prediction: CDMA/LTE Galaxy Nexus released as a Verizon exclusive in the US. At the same time, an unlocked GSM/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus will be available worldwide. ATT/Tmobile users will be able to pick this up and use it, but it will most likely not be officially offered or subsidized by...

Verizon holds up release because of Google Wallet?

Re: Sure hope this article ain't true!!!!!! I agree that it does seem to be kind of late for a Google Wallet dispute to stop the launch of the device. I think Verizon's users deserve a Nexus device... but I do not think that it should be limited to Verizon only. AT&T/T-Mobile deserve get...

When do YOU think the Nexus Prime will release on Sprint?

For a while, I was pretty confident that Sprint would get the next Nexus device. However, everything now seems to be pointing toward a Verizon exclusive at launch. My thought is that Verizon will get the next Nexus as an exclusive at launch with an unlocked/unbranded GSM version available as...

    Nexus Specs released

Verizon Wireless Exclusive? Really? With Apple releasing the iPhone4S to Verizon/ATT/Sprint at the same time, this seems like a bad move by Google.

    Nexus S 4G Frozen

I can understand the confusion. I came from the BlackBerry world before Android. All of the BlackBerry certification guides and technical documentation referred to a battery pull as a "hard reset." See KB02141-How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone as an example.
