But isn't Viber a 3rd party app that has to be installed? Because that is the only thing I can think of why I don't have a Viber app or app settings.

I have Samsung Galaxy S9+ and there is no Viber app control under optimize battery usage, all apps.

I am also using the adb command to disable doze and am glad that it works. However, I am not happy that I just spent $850.00 plus tax and cases on a phone in which the operating system obviously has a flaw. I am seriously considering selling it on ebay and getting an iPhone.

Hi guy's. I got an update from T-Mobile yesterday for my Samsung Galaxy S9+. I don't know if it's a Samsung or Google update since I am new to Android, but it did not fix this problem with notifications. See screenshot. Just thought I would give a heads up.

I have a 1 month old Samsung Galaxy S9+ from T-Mobile and it's having this problem. I believe the version I'm on is Oreo or 8.0. I just switched from Microsoft phones, so I'm not that familiar with the phone or OS yet. What I can tell you is that I applied Al's fix and it's working perfectly...
