so verizon replaced my phone with a refurbished unit. the battery life is back to be great even opted for the moto mod battery pack for camping weekends. something went wrong with the battery from what the store told me. thanks Dave

so i was able to get the dealer to upgrade the software, the phone works well if I use the speed dial built in, but if i call from the phone I need to tap the transfer button on the cars display to transfer call to the BT system. not sure what is meant by advanced calling
