    If you need a good ID3 editor on Android, you should try Music Doctor. It can scan your SD card and you can browse by folder then add to the tags as you see fit. You can also search for songs without tags and fix those too. Good luck...

    Sounds like you figured it out -- android requires you to select the 'SD Card' folder in that pop-up in order to allow any application to edit the files on your SD card for Lollipop+

    I have recently released an ID3 tag editor that makes identifying these inconsistent albums easy. Try downloading "Music Doctor" on google play and select "Clean up -> Albums" once it's opened.
