Just started having issues with Textra/S8+ on Verizon tonight, as described in this thread, with v3.37. Restart didn't fix it. Switching to legacy didn't fix it either. Started happening during a group texts. Really annoying.

I've never had edge lighting work since my s8+ arrived, despite having it set to always. Just seems like a buggy, mostly broken feature.

No unexpected reboot issues here. However, I have had both my S8 (before I swapped it out) and my s8+ freeze while locked... the screen became unresponsive to both touch and button presses, and the only thing that fixed it was a reboot.

I know GG will scratch, but I've never had a screen protector, and through both the Note 7, S7E and now S8+, being reasonably careful (keys and change in the other pocket, usually have my phone on the passenger seat when I drive) has to this point been enough to keep them scratch-free.

For me, facial recognition fails just frequently enough to not be useful. I mostly use smart unlock (trusted device with my fitbit, trusted location at home) but default to fps as option 1a and pin as option 2 if I need to.

I'm caseless so far, but don't think it's going to last; it's a fairly slippery phone and while I can't recall the last time I dropped a phone, I find myself being super careful with this one because of that slipperiness. Also, while I love the orchid grey color, the absence of bezels and the...

I use Textra. No issues.

No screen protector here... never have, and likely never will. I'm a little more on the fence with getting a case; I'm very careful and can count on one hand the number of times I've ever dropped a phone, but all it takes is one bad drop...

I couldn't get mine working via cable either, but wifi worked for both S7E->S8 and S8-S8+

I returned the 8 for an 8+. The 8 just felt small and too narrow, even coming from an s7 edge. I was unhappy to downgrade to the s7 edge from a note, so that might have hurt too. The 8+ arrived two days later and is perfect for me.

I really liked the Note 7, and the s7E felt like a huge step back. Very happy with my s8+ now, although I'm trying to remember how to disable the bloatware that samsung/verizon/google all included!

I got the shipping notification for my s8 on Sunday, with it scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. Going to see how it feels (and if the useless bixby button bugs me too much) and then decide whether or not to keep it.

Quit crying about people crying about Bixby. ;-)

As someone who doesn't want to root his phone, but would prefer to be able to map the button to something I'm actually going to use, this sucks. :(
