Just an update to this, I will try this when I get back out to my car... apparently small pieces of paper or lint could cause the headphone jack to not detect headphones: [Q] Razr lost sound via 3.5 headphones! - xda-developers I will update this thread if I find it to be the issue.

I am having this problem but don't have headphones that have an on/off button, did the reset help at all?

Man I can't see how they justify the $20 extra charge for the straight line charger. You're looking at about $120 for mount and holder after shipping.

Just an updated to this, I tried turning off wifi and location and the bluetooth audio quality cleared up quite a bit! I also noticed that if my windows were up or closed most of the way the signal also got better.... seems to be an issue with bluetooth signal quality.

I have the same problem with my bluetooth audio in my truck, I've got an aftermarket Kenwood player with the optional bluetooth unit, phone audio sounds great, but audio has a lot of static at lower - mid volumes. It does seem to go away at higher volumes though. I wish I had more bluetooth...
