UPDATE: I also did a factory reset as the issue was getting worse, but still had the same issue. I called my service provider for help, when running through a diagnostics, they asked me to remove my sd card. As soon as i removed it, the phone was much more snappier and it was like it's usual...

Thanks for your reply. Yep, I've checked the settings and it is switched off. The good thing is for me, it's only happening probably once a day and in the middle of the night usually and also when the phone is not in use.
