Tethering and Android OS data usage

I think ive found it. Bit of a strange one. I used Android Firewall to block all connections from my phone but allowing just tethering connections through but i was still getting high usage. Ive had problems with my IP6 connections before today so changed my data to connect only to IP4 and its...

Tethering and Android OS data usage

For some unknown reason my phone is using an extortionate amount of data, it seems that whilst im tethering the Android OS is using the same amount of data as the device that is being tethered to it. I have a 20 gig plan but use on average 9 gigs of it tethering which has now recently become a...

    Repaired back and a problem

My missus broken the back of her Z5 and some of the cracks went over the camera lens so the back panel needed replacing. I bought one off ebay and took it to a repair shop who replaced the back. Everything seemed fine till the evening when some of pictures looked off and then you tried one with...

    Nexus 6p battery

I was going to mention this. If you add up the screen time of each app in that screen shot it only adds up to 2.5 hours SOT, which is pretty standard. Not bad, not spectacular.

    Newbie Rooting Question

Unlocking the bootloader is what will wipe your phone. After that gaining root will not wipe anything. But you need to unlock the bootloader to root, so yeah. Back what you can up.

Nexus 6P Bad Battery Life, What Can I Do?

Have a read through this thread, it's about governor tweaking. It's a bit indepth but you've gone to the hassle of rooting and installing a custom kernel, you might as well have a gander of what's actually going on...

Nexus 6P Bad Battery Life, What Can I Do?

And you're right. But isn't half the fun of a Nexus the ability to tweak the hellout of it?

    Galaxy to Nexus

I was a Galaxy S3 owner then moved on to a HTC One M8 but ran ASOP ROMs on both phones so for me a nexus was the next natural step and so far I love it! My biggest complaint, and not necessarily with just this phone, is it's bloody huge (6P). But that seems to be the trend so I gotta go with...

How much do you Customize your Phone?

Been running this homescreen since my last phone but thinking of a change up. But I customise a bit (Holo launcher and zooper widget) plus root, rom, new kernel and tweaked governor. I did buy a Nexus after all so be rude not too :p

Nexus 6P Bad Battery Life, What Can I Do?

If you don't mind a charge then this thing is great, an hours charge will literally give you full battery life. I think battery life is ok but if you don't mind tweaking you can get far better battery life.

Just got my Nexus 6P! Some quick thoughts and comparisons

Like you I came from the M8. I was reluctant at first because of the size of the phone. Even though I'm enjoying the size and it makes the HTC feel tiny I'm not really into huge phones. Literally the only negative. Everything else is awesome! I used AOSP ROMs on my HTC and my S3 before that so...

Nexus 6P Bad Battery Life, What Can I Do?

Google Now is particularly big battery drain so if you don't use it make sure it is off. And if you do use it, make sure Ok Google from every screen is switched off.

Why is my S5 so laggy/sluggish when compared to my friend's new iPhone 6 Plus and old iPad 2?

Re: Why is my S5 so laggy/sluggish when compared to my friend's new iPhone 6 Plus... Whilst my experience are somewhat outdated, I had a S3, TouchWiz is renowned for being resource heavy and causing lag. When I had an S3 I found opening the camera, phone or gallery apps to take an absolute...
