Same as Ratamacue. The only method I saw for non-dev Kit Kat Verizon Moto X was pretty complicated. I've rooted past Android phones and this method was much more complex, so not sure about "easily."
Nope:
FoxFi does NOT work on Verizon. It asks for credential passwords (of which there is no answer for) or to enable native tethering which just results in a subscription check. I've brought this to the Foxfi developer's attention, and it's not been fun. We've exchanged multiple emails back...

Anyone get Foxfi/PDANet to work for wifi tethering? USB works fine, but wifi tethering asks for credential passwords that don't exist even after clearing credentials. Trying to activate the mobile hotspot like it says brings up the subscription check. Anyone have any tips or find a wifi tether...
I also came from the S3 to the Moto X:
1) Frequency of updates depends on carrier. Moto just released a camera update, but only T-Mobile pushed it right away. It's not a Nexus device, so updates will likely be the same speed as anyone else.
2) Check the battery forums here and on XDA as well...
Motorola fixed the issues. It's out of their hands and you're blaming them for AT&T and Verizon and other carrers' delay in pushing the update. That makes zero sense, as that occurs with EVERY device on Android not named a Nexus. Apple gets away with pushing updates themselvest because they're...
Moto X barely has bloat, depending on carrier. It also runs way smoother than my S3. Check out some reviews, they all support that the Moto X runs flawlessly. Some S4 supports say it doesn't lag, some say it does.
Still not sure the point of this topic. If anything, it's off-topic. We're told he got a 5s and drawered his Moto X. Cool. This is the Moto X forum, not the Apple forum. Discuss Apple products elsewhere. Where's a mod to delete for off-topic when you need one? lol
