Try uninstalling the Nexus 4 / Google drivers from your phone & reconnect. The PC should then reinstall the correct drivers, I suspect your pc is using some older android drivers. If you are still having problems try Airdroid, it works well to transfer files to & from your phone. The Airdroid 2...
