Thanks for the reply. I checked the Advanced Wi-Fi settings and I already have everything turned off (Hotspot 2.0 specifically). Good suggestion re "wi-fi optimizer" apps - I don't see any that look like they would do this, unless it's the actual T-Mobile app...

The wifi functionality is very frustrating on my new S7. The phone automatically connects to any open wifi network. This usually results in connecting to a network with extra authentication required (say, a hotel wifi) so then my internet stops working. There is no setting under wifi to turn...
