Yeah it's the battery. Mine did that only it didn't boot at all when charging. I put my other parts g2 battery in it and poof, no red light. I turn it on and no LG logo or vibration just a blinking green light. You can get batteries for it on ebay for around $20. That's what i'm planning on...

JerryScript just updated his ROM today. I'd go with his and see how you like it. Then do a backup and try Harmonia... But I read that she is working on an update, so you might want to wait to try it.

I'm running the BackSide ROM and have no problems with the GPS being slow. Try them both. Just back up before you do. ;)

Yes, use the gingerbreak method. It may take you up to 5 tries or more to get it to work. As for the recovery, I personally use the xionia_kernel_clockwork-3024 recovery. Now, as for the ROM, is there a specific reason your using an almost dated ROM?? Don't get me wrong, I'm always telling...

If your going to partition your sd card, make sure you back it up to your computer first!! (just in case you didn't know). ;) BobZ... how big of an ext2 partition do you recomend with your ROM??

You can not factory reset a rooted phone... ever!! That's why it's bricked. Although there is help for that if you still have the phone. Go here. If your willing to root and want all those goodies you want to do, why not just install an IHO ROM?? It's a lot better than stock that's for sure...

I also read in another forum that a member pressed all four keys in front while power button was pushed. I can't remember if they was able to get into the recovery or allowed the phone to either boot or get into emergency mode. Either way it worked for that member. Can't lose unless you try. ;)

That's funny because in another forum people was talking about "downgrading from the triumph to the V" because the Triumph just sucks. So I hear anyways... I'm just glad I have my 'V'.

Yeah, the IHO ROM's such as the BACKSide and BobzHome, everything is working now. You can get those and other IHO ROMs here.

Dunno, probably the best thing to do is to call customer service and ask. Try calling more than once though throughout the day so you'll get someone else. I had to call three times to get my phone activated and get my phone #. :confused:

The only thing Rom Manager is good for with the optimus V is to flash the recovery. With ROM's, Rom Manager is not compatible with the Optimus even though it has it listed. First advise I would give a noob is to read and read some more before doing anything. There are plenty of threads here...
