make sure your battery is out, use a tooth brush and a 75% IPA, brush it and then let it dry using an hair dryer for few minutes.:)

it is based on the board revisions of the track ball sensor. Some of the LED can illuminate different colors for different notifications, but basically bud, what you have in your phone is just plain white LED.:)

Re: replacement trackball board There is none in the market right now, what I suggest you to do is, remove the 2 screws from the sub board or the track ball sensor PBC, using a hair blower, put it to the highest setting and the heat it for 5 minutes. Concentrate on the 4 black chip resistors...
