Re: touch screen problem when using S pen. Same problem. Looks like the magnetic closure on the case. I have a Note 3 with a Case Mate Slim Folio Case. The dead spot is exactly where the magnetic closure goes. It only affects the S-pen in that spot, not use of a finger. Getting a case...
