That is not an option. I'm not even sure that is a real thing. It is the stock texting app on the Nexus and pixle phones.

Is there any way you can have the Google messages app mark a text as read when I reply from the status bar? I know you can swipe and dismiss the notification but I can't be the only one that can't sleep at night knowing that that text notification I dismissed is quietly sitting in the app still...
