Seems like the procedure may have to be repeated occasionally, maybe after several large updates. Last night my phone went from 84% down to 5% whilst laying on the table in sleep mode. But until now the phone has been good since the last post.

DSB1: Samsung Galaxy S4, Lollipop 5.01, Verizon. Was having phone intermittently run very hot and/or draining battery very quickly- within a few hours. Searched the internet for solutions, tried many w/o success, however this one seems to have worked- at least no issues for two days. Hopefully...
