Are you using the stock battery-saver function?

Use the app here to wipe your cache then reboot the device. Check the facebook app it should be updated to whatever is current to your page.

In most cases root is required.

If it does then the files were not obsolete. At that point I would examine what you are using to lead you to the assumption that they are obsolete.

If you have the extra cash you dont mind gets tried up in ebay then give it a try. If it is a clone and you respond fast ebay will get you your money back. But if all you have is the money to buy one then avoid the cheapest choices.

Re: touch screen issues while charging If by chance you're not using the stock charger make sure its not too much more wattage than the stock charger. I experienced this same problem when I tried to use a non-stock charger of very high power output.
