After upgrading I always do a factory reset. It can be a pain at times but I think its best to start with a clean slate. A lot of the times people have issues after updates, and a majority of them are eliminated by doing a reset. I am not saying its a must its just my preference.

When I first activated my phone I had some issues with the notification not going away. Called Sprint, they reset my voice mail and since then no problems at all. Yes I am on 4.4.3

I am with Sprint and have no problems with my voice mail, no visual voice mail app but I get an icon in my notification bar when I receive a new message.

Have any of you who are having the battery drain issues notice a service running on your device called mm-qcamera-daemon or is this something totally different? The service can consume my entire battery in about an hour.

Thanks for the replies, I did a factory reset and before adding any apps back it has occurred again. As camanokid pointed out, opening the camera app did cause the service to start and not stop and eat up about 60% of battery in less than 30 minutes. /sigh I guess I must be patient or switch...

This is killing my nexus, any ideas how and what causes the service to start and hang?

I am in need of a new device....pretty please with a kit kat on top?
