I've got a Nexus 5 with a Windows 7 PC and I can't transfer files over 4gb in size either. I opened a ticket with Google tech support and they confirmed the issue but said it would not be fixed and proceeded to bribe me with a $10 Google play credit. I don't want bribes, I want working products...
