Before all else I must apologise for my typing mistake. My phone is a Galaxy S4 (...not 5). Wiping out the phone's cache did not solve the problem. But on switching off the Accessibility> Notification Reminder the problem was overcome. Many thanks for your attempt to help me out. Thanks...
