Anyone know if this affects the ability to root and S-Off in any way? Haven't rooted yet but definitely plan to. Haven't installed the update due to this yet.

I don't think so. Maybe I'm wrong though. If I go into photos there is a movie icon and when I select it I can pick a bunch of photos and then change the theme, music, etc. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Yeah I have that. When I snap quite a few photos quickly it will auto create a vid of those pics for me. Then I'm able to edit it and such.

I pretty much agree 100%. I had the S5 but exchanged it for the M8.

Re: Not impressed by the battery... I would start by hunting down the app that's keeping your phone awake. I haven't used gsam or greenify in forever but they should give you an idea on which apps to check into. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Traded the S5 for the M8. No regrets. I greatly prefer Sense to TW. I asked if the S5 has been selling like hotcakes and he said oh yeah! but there have been a lot of exchanges.

I've only owned the M8 a day after I returned the S5, but so far my gripe is the power button. I do wish it was on the right side. Or they could have moved the volume rocker to the left side at least. I seem to press the volume rocker when reaching for the power button. Also the lack of...

Is the 4G icon suppose to always be present in the status bar even when connected to wifi? I searched but came up empty. Thanks for any input.

Re: Galaxy S5 vs. HTC One (M8) I hate that the S5 has a locked down bootloader. When other companies started locking down there were "boycotts" and all kinds of other craziness. It's OK for Sammy to lock down? Does no one root and rom anymore? I own the S5 currently so I'm not biased at all...
