I have the same question too. My previous LG G3 i could set the volume seperately seamlessly. The solution for the mate 9 i found was to go into Apps and mute all the notifications individually. E.g. Settings> Apps > Gmail >Notifications > Ringtone (off) & Vibrate (off)

I am having the same problems as well! Somehow the screen just faded away. I read one of the post which suggested to remove the sim card and somehow it worked! Probably that area of the mother board is faulty.. few weeks ago the phone couldn't detect my SD card as well.. oh well..moving on to...

You can do backup into the SD card you know...

Yeah me too. Downloading it now. Hopefully it won't trigger a endless loop of reboot.

After the factory reset, then the software updates suddenly appeared. exactly explained by this forumer here: one by one it came and then i updated the software consecutively, and so far it's working fine now. touch wood. hopefully the next marshmallow update won't have this crazy bug again. :'(

I decided to do an update and now it has caused my phone to reboot endlessly haha. just did a factory reset and downloading the new software update now.

I just installed LG suite and there was a prompt for a software update. After i installed it my phone went into an endless loop of rebooting. Awesome man. Now I had to force factory reset and then reinstall everything again. Sighhhhhhhhh

I just bought this phone yesterday while some of you had already used it for over a year. How is the battery life like for you guys?
