I am now having this issue after doing a factory reset of my Galaxy S7. It was working fine before this. The only thing I can think of is that Google needs to "train" your voice first? I read this on a website. After many uses the option might become available again? Otherwise I have no idea...

Since nobody replied I'd like to flag this too. Hate not knowing who is sending me a message until I open up the app. And showing previews shows the content as well as the name which does not work either.
