Why does my Q8H Android Tablet PC show limited storage?

Q8H Android Tablet PC storage help!!

Hi there,

Firstly, huge apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place or if this thread has been done before but I brought a Q8H 7inch Tablet PC (android version 4.4.2 and firmware version 4.4v2.0) as a Christmas present for my daughter just as a cheap tablet to play some games on. It was advertised as having 8gb of memory and is now telling me after installing only a few apps there is no more memory...

After going into the storage settings I can see that the internal memory is in 2 separate partitions, with everything apparently being saved on the smaller of the partitions. It is telling me I still have 5.97 GB of storage available but I am unable to access it.

Is there anything I can do to use this memory? I hope I have explained this correctly, my knowledge with Android is very limited, but please let me know if you need any further info...
