no sounds on my LG Stylo 3 plus

There's no sounds. I've turned everything up to Max, but still, there's no sounds. No matter what I do. I've tried everything short of a hard reset. Can someone think of something that could be causing this problem? I really don't want to have to reset my phone, unless absolutely necessary.

Does it also happen in Safe Mode? When you say everything is up to max, does that mean all 3 volume sliders (Media, Alarm, Ringtone/Notification)?

yes, and yes, every single slider is up on high

If this still happens in Safe Mode, then it's either a firmware or hardware issue. A factory reset would probably be the next step, and if that doesn't help, then you'll probably have to bring the phone to a repair shop (or contact LG, if the phone is still under warranty).

thank you. it's only a couple months old so definitely under warranty. but, I'll try the reset real quick and see what happens
