Can I use a T-Mobile S5 on Metro PCS?

A

AC Question

I was sold a galaxy s5 threw a friend, it was unlocked, but with no sim card. The service provider is T-Mobile, although my provider is Metro PCS. I was told that, Metro PCS and T-Mobile are compatible, is that information correct?

Metro PCS uses T-Mobiles network to provide service to its customers. You may need to have the device unlocked if it already isn't. Otherwise, try inserting the new SIM card and input the appropriate APNs to get service.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Yes this will work fine. I signed up for Metro PCS awhile back using my T-Mobile Galaxy S3. You don't even need to unlock it as far as I know. The dealer at the Metro store said he didn't need to unlock mine since their the same network.
