Why does my moto 360 buzz three times every time I get a text message?

Ever since I installed an update on my watch two or three updates ago, my watch started buzzing multiple times (usually 3 times, but sometimes only 2) every time I receive a text message. If I receive 2 or 3 texts in a row, my watch ends up buzzing all the time and it is driving me (and my co-workers) crazy! Please help me solve this. I have done several factory resets on the watch, I have checked all settings, I have done everything I can think of but it still buzzes 3 times per text message.

Are you using stock messaging App? If you are using a different App for messaging...you might be getting notifications from Stock App AND other App.
You would need to turn off notifications from one of them.

You could also go into Android Wear settings on phone and Block notifications from Apps you don't want to show up on your watch.

my 360 2nd gen starting doing that about a month or 2 ago....its driving me nuts. 3 alerts for 1 text....I have no other msg svc installed on my phone or watch....I use Verizon Message+. All 3 alerts always have msg+ logo on watch face when I get the alert.

It is an annoyance, I thought I was the only one with this issue.

I think it depends on how many characters you get in a string of texts from one person. If it is over a certain number, I think it beeps every time it exceeds that number (could be 3 or 4 times if it's a long text), and then to make matters worse, the notification pops up multiple times... On, off, on, off. It should be smart enough to just treat it as one message and not buzz your arm off and flash all this crap on your screen just for texts in a string from one person
