Reset "Remember SIM for number" memory.

Here are the details of my device:

• Motorola Moto E
• Android 4.4.4
• Kernel: 3.4.42-g6bc7ff3
• Build: KXC21.5-40

In the "Phone" application, I checked the "Remember SIM for number" option for a USSD code (*123#) for SIM1. Currently, I am unable to reset this feature, and hence cannot dial *123# using SIM2. The app automatically dials it using SIM1.

I called up Motorola support (India) and tried in vain to convey the issue.
Later, a chat agent understood the issue and suggested the following steps:
1. Reset app preferences (done)
2. Wipe cache partition (done)
3. Reset the phone

I performed steps 1 and 2. The issue still persists.
I also deleted the App Data for the Phone application. Still no change.
Before proceeding to reset the device, I wish to know if there is an alternative.

At least, if someone could explain how I could manually delete the cache and data for the Phone application, that would be a great help!!
Please feel free to ask for any more details to diagnose the issue further.

Try this . Go to contacts. Select the number you want to clear the default. Press and hold on the number and a menu will pop up. Clear default.

And check that in "call settings" making call is set to "ask me every time ...".

It worked . But it will be good if we can elaborate the steps :

1.Click on contacts
2.Tap on the number (Contacts that is saved for Remember for sim)
3.Press and hold on the number for few seconds
4.A pop up will open with two options "Copy to clipboard" and " clear default calling sim"
5.Click on clear default calling sim option

Result : Now the remember sim card option is removed and you will get a status showing "Other" below the contact .

I hope it will be very easy to understand for everyone .

But yar in moto g4 plus i hve just done all those things like for sim selection i hve set it to ask every time
But still i m gettng the problm
I saved a no. To some certain sim now i wanna call that no. By another sim it auto goes through the previous one
Tell me how to resolve the issue

Start calling the person. In d calling screen upper right side thers an option called chnge sim. Change the sim and call. And the next time u try to call it will show options
