Can I always use slide to answer?

I am trying to convert a friend from a flip phone to a smart phone. I bought him a Moto e5. He is doing ok but is having trouble answering. He does good with the slide to answer, but is having trouble with the floating popup. I know what he is doing, sliding the popup up so it gets dismissed. I have worked with him for a couple of months on this. Is there any way to get the phone to always show slide to answer instead of the floating popup? I have searched and everyone seems to want the opposite of what I need.

Welcome to Android Central! What floating popup are you referring to? Do you mean when the call is minimized?
