Alternative storage for applications

So I just bought the new Moto E 4G LTE model meanwhile I save up for a better phone. It has 8 gb of storage and takes sd cards up to 32 gb. So I went ahead and bought the card thinking I could download apps onto it. And soon to find out it does pictures, videos, music, etc but not applications. I've only downloaded a few primary apps and only have 2gb of internal storage left. I know there is a good chance there isn't but I just wanted to know if anybody knew an alternative.

ES File Explorer. Move whole app to external SD. Have full control over your SD card.

Developers fix it so you can't transfer operating apps to SD card.
Good reason for that, but that doesn't help the situation ( NO ENOUGH INTERNAL MEMORY ).
The more we have, the more we want !
