I bought a moto E a couple of months ago and never activated it but it came with free data and even had hotspot but I when and pay for it just one month after that it stopped the hotspot service but I still have data and I still can received voice messages. I'm not complaining but I just wonder why?

Welcome to Android Central! Who's the carrier that was offering this deal? You should ask them. There was probably some kind of fine print for the deal that you didn't notice.

Someone posted about this in the Virgin Mobile section about a month ago. When I canceled my plan, my number changed (I ported it back to Google Voice) and stopped working for phone and text (but not voicemail, oddly enough), yet, data is still working over two months later. I think it has something to do with the ItsOn service, which I think is formerly Zact Mobile, now the Virgin Mobile Data Done Right plan. I just keep the phone as a standby for when I'm in a rural area and have EDGE on T-Mobile.
