Where is the cheapest place to buy the Moto G that has a sim card slot so I can unlock it to use on bell in Canada? I've seen the $99 ones will those work?
Thank You

The 99$ dollar ones (like Verizon's for example) is connected to CDMA bands which I think is incompatible with your carrier. I suggest trying to look on Amazon.

I'm looking to buy one for bell Canada as well. I think I will buy through Motorola or amazon and have it shipped to a friend in the US for pickup. It is best to go with the US gsm version because the global one is intended for networks on Europe and Asia while the US one is more compatible with Canadian networks.
Alternatively you can buy the phone locked from koodoo and pay the to unlock it or use an internet unlocking site.

Verizon is subsidizing the CDMA Moto G since you wont be able to use it with other carriers and they can get their money back in few months

Thats not the case with GSM version. thats why it sells for $179 or $199

Same with Boost.

Anyways $179/199 is a steal especially since I got my nexus 4 $100 of for $250 10 months after it was launched. Even the original price then was considered a bargain compared to other phones in its class.

HSN had that Boost version for $79.99 within the last month. I'm sure they'll offer it again at the price or lower sooner or later. It wouldn't surprise me in 6 months or so, the Moto G can be had for about $100. Look at the Lumia 521. When it was first offered at $149.99, it was considered a steal. Now, if you catch a sale, it's can be bought at $50.

Apparently the Verizon Moto G was available for $79.99 on an Amazon Lightning deal last week.
