I heard the day after 4.4.3 came out that Motorola was updating their phones and the Google Play Edition phones were getting updated but it's been a few days and no update at all. Is there a problem with my phone that it won't get the update?

They stagger rollouts to ease strain on their servers. For some devices this can be the first day or any time during the 1-2 weeks following the initial rollout.

Same with me. Another load of BS, That was their big hype when I bought the phone, Google Play Edition Phones are supposed to get their updates before anyone else because you didn't have to wait for carrier approval, yeah right.

As far as I have noticed the first that get updates are those who are in the states and have bought some free phone from Motorola.

No 4.4.3 on mine yet either but that thing about staggering the rollout of the updates makes sense. Hopefully we will see it soon.

Which carrier phones got 4.4.3 before you?

I think it would have been more correct if you said that sim free phones got the update before you - the US version mainly

The Google web site says updates for GPE devices come from the manufacturer. So I contacted Motorola and made clear I was inquirng about a GPE device, and they said the update would come from the carrier, in my case AT&T. I'm using an MVNO, so using the AT&T network indirectly. So I contacted the MVNO, and they said they did not provision android phones.

I've done some searching of the web, and stumbled onto this, I haven't tried it, and am curious if this would work to manually update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 ?

It looks like the Global GSM / US GSM are the only ones that have an update available. Which should be fine for Moto G GPE bought thru Google Play ?

Yeah. If you haven't received the 4.4.3 update yet, you probably won't. And you probably don't want 4.4.3 anyway due to an OpenSSL bug.

I saw where 4.4.4 was out. So I could do 4.4.3, and then 4.4.4 when it is available for the Google play edition..
