On my Moto G , how do I recover the deleted Camera folder?

Moto G - recovering the deleted "Camera" folder

Hello! I am desperately looking for help to recover a deleted folder from my Moto G.

I was manually transferring pictures from my Moto G via USB to my PC/laptop and somehow deleted the entire Camera folder - found under the DCIM folder. When the phone was connected it showed up under Windows Explorer as a "Portable Device" - not a "Removable Disk" - so it cannot be accessed by my regular recovery software.


I have a Moto G through my Republic Wireless cell phone provider, which means they did some special "stuff" to the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, deleting something from your phone's internal storage can be very difficult to recover. You'd have to root the device and try a program like DiskDigger, PhotoRec, or Recuva, and there's certainly no guarantee they'll work.
