Why doesn't my Moto G send or receive text messages, other problems?

Moto G doesn't not send or receive text, other problems.

In passed few months, phone has started to decline. It started off becoming slower downloading and also had difficulty turning on and off. Since last night though, it hasn't been sending or receiving texts.

I'm not sure why it's having problems sending texts, but it sounds like it could be a network side error.

Since you are having problems with the overall performance of the device I would suggest a factory reset and see if that helps fix most, if not all, the problems you are having. Be sure to backup your data before hand and let us know how it goes.
