Why do my Moto G2 battery go down to 94 quickly?

Moto G2: battery goes down to 94% quickly

i bought Motorola moto g2 phone about 2 months ago. i started using the device after charging it for 6 hours before the first power-on. but whenever it is fully charged, i'm noticing a steep descent in the battery usage curve down to about 94% even if i keep it idle. but beyond that i'm getting the normal battery backup of a smartphone (almost 2 days for a normal usage). this initial drain doesn't make any sense. i wish someone helped me understand what's going on with the battery

Charge it overnight. Unplug the charger and wait 5 minutes. Plug it in for another hour. See if it still has that initial drain.
