I currently use an S4. Have for about 2 and a half years now. I'd like to upgrade but am so undecided. None of the new "flagships" really excite me.

I have been thinking about the Moto G. I am wondering if it would even be an upgrade though from the S4? I know the screen resolution would be a downgrade but am wondering about camera and overall performance of the Moto G vs the S4.

Any former S4 users switch to the Moto G 2015?

Two of my family members have an S4. I've held them side by side. In terms of screen and camera, it is a downgrade. I love this phone though. The rest is very very good. Battery life is wonderful. Also it gets better wifi and mobile reception than the S4. Coming from an S4 you should look into the Alcatel idol 3 in my opinion.

To my experience, the moto g3 camera is better than the s4 as it takes good pictures. If you make the switch, you won't regret it. The only thing I see wrong with the Moto G3 is that it doesn't have notification light. Honestly I got over it fast and I don't remember it anymore but you sure can't go wrong with the Moto g3. I even made it my main phone over my Moto x 2nd gen and I don't even miss it. Battery in the Moto G3 is great, the phone is fast. Resolution is not low enough to hate the phone. I think that if you make the switch, go with a black front and choose the color of your like for the back. You won't be disappointed.
