    I had the same issue but now it has been resolved.Try this
    Go to settings>>apps>>Scroll down to settings>>tap on storage>>tap on clear cache and clear data

    Hope this helps because elsewhere the only solution posted was to perform a factory reset. I was saved.Phew!

    Thank you for your suggestion. I have android 5.0.2 and when I try to do exactly that, the settings app close but the data is not erased. When I tap on erase cache, nothing happens. The problem is thus not resolved. Would you have an idea how to erase the data/cache in this case? Thanks in advance!
