Apparently the phone has been awake since 4pm, 25 hours ago. The screen heats up towards the top and I can not tell if it is the SD410 or battery. It tends to begin when I play fallout shelter and the battery discharges rapidly whilst plugged in. Usually unplugged and not playing any games (specifically fallout shelter) it discharges normally.

I would try wiping the cache partition, but what about the battery usage? Doesn't it show what app is using the Settings->Battery? If not, try installing GSAM and looking at the App Sucker screen to see what is using the battery up (or Wakelock Detector if you are rooted).

No apps show up during these periods of heat and battery loss however they always occur about 20 minutes into playing fallout shelter. I will wipe the cache when I next reboot and see if that helps.
