popup messages lock screen

on my Motorola moto G 3rd gen the are popup messages on the lock screen (the screen that appaers after timeout)
if I double click on a message and I release the lock screen the associated application opens.
must I open all the messages?
after opening an associated application I cannot go to the lock screen again to open the next popup message.
before I could go to (after opening a popup message and associated application) the lock screen by pushing the power button but that doesn"t work anymore.
now when i push the power button it opens the screen with app iconso the lock screen
how can i go immediately to the lock screen to open the next popup message?

I've found the solution.
settings->security->power button instantly locks

now the lock screen opens when I push the power button and i see the popup messages
