Time and temp widget not refreshing on Moto G Pure

I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I recently put time and weather widget (5x1) on the home screen. I noticed that the temperate and location does not seem to refresh unless I tap on it to bring up the weather screen. I have auto refresh set to 15 minutes. I assume this is an issue with the widget, not a phone setting. Maybe I need to try one of the other widgets to see if they have the same issue. It is not a big deal, but it would be nice see the current temp and location without my intervention.

Do you have any power-saving or data saver modes turned on? Or any 3rd party apps intended to save battery or "clean RAM"?

No. Battery saver and data saver are off. And no 3rd party apps. I will try a different time and weather widget to see if it refreshes. Thanks.

Is the one you're currently trying the one that came with the phone, or is it from an app you installed?

Ok, and are you using the stock launcher or a 3rd party launcher like Nova?

Stock launcher. I just got the phone a couple weeks and I have not yet added any apps.

Sorry, I don't think I have any other suggestions. It may be best to try a 3rd party weather app. I like Weawow, which has a lot of nice features in the free version, and only asks for a pretty small donation to unlock the rest.

As I said, it is not a big deal. When I get a chance, I will try a 3rd party app.

I got tired of 1Weather app not refreshing, so I removed it and installed Weewow. It looks good and seems to be refreshing at the set interval time.
