This morning I noticed crackling in my speakers. I work in a machine shop, and it's pretty well known that the metal dust ruins speakers eventually (just nobody told me until now!) XD.

I've tried blowing the speakers out with compressed air, but that doesn't help, so my next plan is to replace the speakers. However, I've seen from teardowns that the moto g 2 has small waterproof plastic adhesive strips over certain wires internally. I don't want to degrade the phone when I take it apart, so I'd like to keep the water resistance. If any of those small adhesive strips need to be pulled up, would it damage the phone at all to reaffix them with nonconductive glue or epoxy?
